Who We Are
Danielle Jones
Born into a blue-collar family and raised in Mashpee, Massachusetts, Danielle Jones has an earnest desire to protect her young family and escape a world of addiction and abuse on Cape Cod.
Danielle lives with the reality that her prior life of drug abuse has forced her into deplorable living conditions with her boyfriend, Zach Winslow, and his abusive father, Robert.
After learning that she is pregnant, Danielle must take drastic action to provide her family a life without the constant threat of violence and a day-to-day struggle for survival. She is willing to do anything it takes to free the ones she loves from their current, grim, situation.

Zach Winslow
Zach Winslow, born and raised in Hyannis, Massachusetts, grew up working on commercial fishing boats and oyster farms with his father, Robert. Zach and Danielle met in high school and bonded over the trauma that both endured as young adults.
Their time together progressed to include recreational prescription drug use, and, for Zach, heroin abuse. While Danielle got clean after becoming pregnant, Zach found himself addicted to heroin.
Zach’s addiction transformed him from a loving boyfriend into a shell of who he once was. He’s ashamed that his previous attempts at sobriety have failed.

Zach wants to do what’s best for Danielle, but addiction and generational poverty have made him dependent upon a life of selling stolen oysters with his father.

Robert Winslow
Robert, a Cape Cod native, has two priorities: drinking and making sure he has enough money for booze. An abusive father and horrible role model, Robert relies on Zach, his son, to help him steal oysters.
He despises Danielle for her attempts to take Zach away to drug treatment and will stop at nothing to keep his son in the lifestyle he has created for them.

Purveyor
The Purveyor is an unscrupulous seafood market owner located in Sandwich, Massachusetts. He frequently buys stolen oysters from Zach and Robert.
